Day 1: Old roads, new pathways

Here the facilitator, N.A.J. Taylor, also reflects on his own experiencing in convening inter-cultural and inter-communal dialogues on nuclear weapons disarmament in the Middle East. Specifically, this “dialogical pathway” assesses the Athens of 2012 where we had participants “imagine the future” 5, 10 and even 20 years from now. The session will provide attendees with a foundational understanding of nuclear politics and policy, with a particular emphasis on international treaties limiting their spread and use, including the novel, nuclear-weapon-free zone concept.
